About Us:

We are an organization dedicated to empowering Latino Farmers and the broader farming community through sustainable, innovative, and equitable agricultural practices.

Our mission is to create opportunities for economic growth, ag-innovation, education, and social advancement while preserving our ecosystem and combating climate change.

At the core of our identity is our unique focus on Latino/Latina Farmers and Multigenerational Small Family Farms, who serve as the cornerstone of our organization and the starting point of our journey. By providing them with the necessary resources and support, we believe in nurturing entrepreneurship and creating pathways for success.

What sets us apart is our holistic approach, recognizing that the prosperity of farmers, farmworkers, and rural communities is deeply interconnected and mutually reinforcing. We understand that supporting small family farmers is crucial to benefiting farmworkers and fostering the well-being of rural communities.

To achieve our goals, we prioritize collaboration and partnerships. Our extensive network includes farmers, universities, community colleges, the United States Department of Food and Agriculture (USDA), the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), county agriculture commissioners' offices, community development agencies, rural communities, faith-based organizations, and agricultural businesses/industry. Through these alliances, we drive job creation, promote social equity, and enhance inclusivity.

Our vision extends beyond the present. We aspire to a future where historically disadvantaged Latino Farmers and farming communities significantly contribute to shaping a prosperous and diverse agricultural landscape. By championing innovation in agriculture, climate-smart farming, resource conservation, regenerative agriculture, and education, we empower these communities to help mitigate the impacts of climate change and become a driving force in the thriving agricultural sector.

The importance of fostering generational renewal in agriculture intensifies when we contemplate the future of the children of Latino farmers and farmworkers as the energetic vanguards, who will not just adapt to but shape the future of farming in a constantly evolving climate. Empowering these young minds with knowledge, capabilities, and opportunities is a prerequisite for a smooth transition towards sustainable agricultural practices. These practices are key to addressing imminent global issues such as food security, climate change, and sustainability.

Their steadfast commitment and creative mindset will lay the groundwork for a robust agricultural sector, that doesn't merely withstand the test of time, but also safeguards our planet's resources, feeding and nourishing communities for countless generations ahead. The energy, innovation, and leadership they bring, will serve as the backbone of our future agricultural resilience, ensuring our earth and its people flourish in harmony.

Together, we honor and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our Latino Farmers and the farm working community, moving towards a future where economic growth, education, and social advancement are accessible to all.
